The coachmen apex ultra lite is lightweight, easy to drive around and simple to set up-making it perfect for beginners! Since it’s not too large, you can tow this coachmen apex ultra lite with your car easily behind the camper van which means it will fit in most parking places in national parks.
The coachmen apex ultra lite (9000 pounds) is a lightweight Class C RV coach.
This coach has very few bells and whistles, but it does have some good features.
-A raised roof that provides extra head room in the coach and inside the bathroom (6’10”)
-An outside sink and cabinet built into the driver side rear of the coach. This sliding bench seat pulls out for a sitting area while cooking etc…
-An optional sliding bench seat behind the driver’s bench with storage underneath to put items you want quick access to such as coolers or propane tanks.
-Tinted windows above all other windows which help keep the coach cooler during warm days.
-A standard exterior RV power outlet for running small electrical appliances.
-The coachmen apex ultra lite also has a great floor plan for its size coach with 2 captain’s chairs that swivel to face the coach’s entertainment center on an angle, then there is a table that slides over on its own support legs to accommodate meal time or card games. Next to that is a nice sofa that folds down into an extra twin bed which our kids loved having!
Of course the coachmen apex ultra lite does not have many of the features found in larger coachmen coaches like coachmen rVs but it does make up for what it lacks in size with lots of standard amenities most people really need when camping anyway.
The coachmen apex ultra lite is very easy to drive. It has a high, commanding view of the road so for me this coach was very simple to maneuver compared to other larger motorhome coaches I’ve driven in the past.
